Step 1: Export your content from source wordpress

Log in to the wordpress admin, go to the
Tools tab and the Export option you will see inside.

Click on Start export.

On the next page, you will be asked exactly what content you want to export. You can choose posts, pages, testimonials, comments and media. Choose exactly what content you want to export and then click Download export file.

The file will contain all your wordpress content but without images.

Step 2: Install the WordPress Importer on your new site.

For that, you will have to go to your new Control Panel (in your fresh wordpress installation) and click on Tools> Import.

Choose the last option - Install WordPress Importer - to import post, pages, comments, custom fields, categories and tags from a WordPress export file.

A new window will appear showing the WordPress Importer plugin. This is the tool you should use to process the XML file.

Click Install now:

A new page will appear confirming that the plugin was installed.

You will need to click Activate plugin and run importer.

Step 3: Import your content.

Open the importer and select the xml file you had downloaded from your old wordpress installation.

On the next screen, you will be asked if you want to reassign your posts to new authors. You would simply have to choose whether to import that same username or create a new one.

Otherwise, you can also assign posts to an existing author on your new site by choosing from the drop down list.

Once you are done, "Do not check the box" where it says Download and import attachments.

Step 4: Lastly, you need to go to your previous hosting and download a copy of the uploads folder found inside wp-content.

Access the cpanel file manager and inside look for the public_html folder, inside this folder look for wp-content and inside you will see uploads, select it and above you will see Rename, change the name and once finished upload by ftp or from the file manager the uploads folder that you had downloaded from the previous wordpress.

If you upload it in zip, select the zip that you have uploaded and above you will see unzip.

With this you will have the content imported along with the images.
